"THE CHAIN" (Fleetwood Mac Tribute / Cover Band) played for the VA Hospital Fox Chapel Pittsburgh Pa. The troops gave so much that we thought playing as Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks would give them a boost. I remember my dad after WW2 Tell me he and his mates always looked forward to the entertainment .So dad this is for you and the rest of the troops Dad was 2nd wave at Normandy Omaha Beach 29 div, 116 rej. and by the Grace of God made it make home safe and sound!
The veterans enjoyed us and when the concert was up. They stuck around to talk to us and tell us stories of what happened to them. Hard to hold back the tears at times. Now I know why Stevie Nicks travels from time to time and makes it a point to stop and see the Veterans.
For us it was a rush and a feeling that's very hard to describe.
